The Beatles generated a level of popularity that had never been seen before. Once the Beatles arrived on the scene,
fans of all ages screamed (literally) for the Beatles, rock and roll, Dusty Rhodes (the original Beatles Fan!) and all things
English! Some of us even screamed when we saw them on Ed Sullivan to the bewilderment of our parents. Suddenly,
England was the epicenter of the Universe and nothing typified this more than the fan who had her uncle dig her up a tiny
amount of "Real English Dirt" from the London Airport and then, generously shared her prize with Dusty. Now that's a
FAN!
Scroll down to see the actual dirt and to see samples of some of the absolutely priceless letters Dusty received.
These letters paint a picture
of teen life in the 60's that is poignant and sometimes hilarious.

| This fan also liked the Shantels & Man from U.N.C.L.E., and had compassion for her mail carrier! |
